Durga Puja 2023: Navratri, meaning 'nine nights,' is one of the most popular and widely celebrated Hindu festivals in many parts of India. The festival is celebrated with enthusiasm and festivity to mark the victory of Goddess Durga, who fought against the buffalo-headed demon Mahishasura.
On the occasion of Navami, Katrina Kaif was spotted visiting a Durga Puja pandal in Juhu. For the auspicious day, Katrina opted for a yellow saree. The actress left her hair open, while she chose intricate jewellery to elevate her traditional look. The actress was accompanied by Rani Mukerji at the North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja pandal to offer prayers. It is organized annually by Rani Mukerji and Kajol's paternal uncle and Ayan Mukerji's father, Deb Mukerji.
Rani was seen wearing a beige saree with a green border. The actress tied her hair in a chic bun and put gajra to decorate it further. Her jewellery stole hearts. On Sunday, during the Ashtami Sandhi Puja, Rani performed the traditional Bengali dance, Dhunuchi Naach, with her cousin sister Tanishaa Mukerji and choreographer Vaibhavi Merchant.
Recently, Rani completed 27 years in the industry. Talking about it, the actress said, "It doesn't feel like 27 years for sure! Looking back at the moment right now, I feel that I have just debuted in a film a few years back! I’m still as hungry as I was in my first film. Just to think of Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat, my first film and what I learnt in that film, is something that I will never forget. What I didn't realise as a newcomer then, was the magical world of cinema that I was getting into because I wasn't the regular wide-eyed person, who wanted to join cinema. It was something more like I was asked to do, told to do. So I got into it, and I did not understand much."
Katrina, on the other hand, is looking forward to two big releases. Her film with Salman Khan, 'Tiger 3,' will be released on Diwali, while her first one with Vijay Sethupathi, 'Merry Christmas,' will be released two weeks later.
